Lugano: the national music capital. Two evenings and three stages showing the liveliest and most surprising side of the Swiss music scene.

At its second edition, La Quairmesse will illustrate in two evenings (30 and 31 May) and on three stages in the city center, the most lively and surprising Swiss music scene.

La Quairmesse was born last year from the experience of 25 editions of Palco ai Giovani. The event transformed Lugano for two days into the capital of contemporary national music thanks to the meeting between artists of origin, age and heterogeneous paths. The aim of the Festival is precisely to encourage the development of a creative context in the musical field through the exchange between linguistic regions, while giving an important national visibility to the local scene. Enhance creativity throughout Switzerland by promoting exchange between the different language regions.

The artistic direction is ready to select the new Swiss artists who will want to perform during the two evenings scheduled on 30 and 31 May 2020 on the three stages (Piazza Manzoni, Rivetta Tell and Mojito).

Selections are open to artists of all musical genres from all over Switzerland. Each evening slots will be reserved for artists of Italian-speaking Switzerland.

The schedule will be announced in April and will be defined by the artistic direction from the registrations received and from a series of invitations.
